Artist's Comments

Finished for *Bokkaku's Birds of Paradise contest in the Myths of Paradise category.

Embroidered over the course of a year, and finished this past March, this hood not only has the celtic birds, but also two knots on the lirapipe.

Pure undyed cotton, embroidered in DMC cotton.

The hood was custom designed and made by my mother for me.

Design from Amy Musebrink's 159 Celtic Designs. The design was taken from her stock designs and altered by me to fit the contours of the hood.

wow, embroidering takes a lot of time. Looks like you put a lot of effort into it =)
I'm not sure how long it took me exactly... But it did take longer than expected =P

The essense of art is not the technique employed, nor demonstrated mastry of the medium, but the reflection, and refraction of our true selves; in this state, we find a perfect mirror for the soul.
Very nice work.

If you are not part of the solution...
You are part of the problem
Thanks =) The red didn't photograph very well though... Strange *shrug* =)
